IFPA District of Columbia State Championship – January 20th, 2018

The 2016-17 IFPA District of Columbia State Championship will be held January 20th, 2018 at the Lyman’s Tavern in Washington, DC.  The top 16 players in Washington, D.C. will compete in a single-elimination tournament, best of 7 match format.

Details

• Doors open at 1pm
• Practice begins at 1pm
• Tournament starts at 2pm
• Entry fee is $30
• $100 goes towards the IFPA National Championship prize pool
• $16 goes towards the IFPA Fees ($1 / player)
• $144 goes towards food and beverages
• $220 goes towards the prize pool
• 1st place $100, 2nd place $70, 3rd place $50
• 3rd and 4th place will play a best of 3 tie-breaker

Format

• Players will be seeded based on their State rankings position
• Top seeded player will have choice of game or order for 1st game
• Loser of each game will have the subsequent choice of game or order of the next game
• Each player may practice each game for 30 seconds before every game
