20 players attended on a great but slightly warm Memorial Day. The host with the Most, Ernie, had a lot of food available including great pulled chicken and BBQ beans, as well as the grill working its magic on hot dogs and other food that players brought with them. Everyone brought their own beer and it was disappearing quickly on such a sunny/warm day.
Ernie had 6 machines in the garage and 7 more in the basement, although we ended up using only 10 by the end. A great mix of EM, solid state, and DMD games made it very challenging. Games included: EMs – Top Score, Jumping Jack, Old Chicago; Solid States – Super Sonic, High Speed; DMDs – KISS, Walking Dead, Simpson’s Pinball Party, Dr. Who, Fish Tales, and Twilight Zone (which didn’t last).
The format was a 4 strike knockout, Swiss style, with 4 player groups (or 3 when needed based on number of players remaining). The bottom 2 players in each match received a strike (or last place player in 3 player groups).
